We are so prone to look at the back label of ingredients for our kids when it comes to food. As Christians, do we have expectations or guidelines for the Christian literature we buy our children? If you click on my "Kid's books" page you will see a few that I keep in mind when purchasing children books. However, I was encouraged to see some of the factors that Noel Piper takes into consideration as she sought out Easter Stories for children. Here are what she looks for:
- A story without added details or characters
- Presentation of God as the central character
- Appropriate respect given to the Word of God
- None of the fairy tale additions that might be fun, but are not part of the real story
